Create an engaging, welcoming place for students to learn what it takes to put something in space.
How?
We use CubeSats as a framework to enable students to learn satellite design, development, and operations. We implement an engineering and management model based on those developed at NASA, in industry, and at other universities.
Anyone interested in what we do is encouraged to contribute in a capacity they feel comfortable with. We are a skill development club first and foremost, all skill levels are welcome.
What we do
We compete in the Canadian Satellite Design Challenge, a two year competition between university teams across Canada for a chance to launch the winning cubesat.
The cubesat is designed, built, and tested according to mission requirements defined by the competition and launch provider.
During this process, our members
learn about the challenges associated with designing space-rated hardware
take ownership over design projects
undertake funding and sponsorship campaigns
make connections with industry partners and faculty members
